Starting right where I left off, Demi Lovato is hanging with the Big Whigs these days. It’s being whispered around town that this Disney gal might be nominated for a Grammy Award. Now, the prestigious music industry nod is usually devoted to those who have been around the block a bit more than Lovato, but if she’s earning the numbers and the popularity, well that’s another story. Demi’s been super busy with her summer tour as well as starring in the Disney Channel original series, Sonny with a Change. But the major Grammy-related accomplishment is definitely how Lovato’s latest album, ‘Here We Go Again’, debuted at number-1 in July on Billboard’s Top 200 album chart. And for that reason, some peeps are linking her up to be a sure nomination for the Grammy Awards, for Best New Artist, of course. The eligibility date of August 31st has passed and the official list of nominations will be announced in November. Demi has been named as a front-runner by some industry insiders, along with Cobra Starship, Drake, Zac Brown Band and Keri Hilson, if she’s even eligible.
