Cast: Sam Rockwell, Emma Roberts, Rob Corddry, Shareeka Epps, Rooney Mara, Emily Rios, Margo Martindale, Jessica Hecht Set in suburban Indiana, the film stars Rockwell as Bill Greaves, an adult misfit recruited by the local high school principal (Corddry) to coach the school’s floundering girls’ basketball team. Initially retreating from what appears to be a hopeless situation, Bill perseveres and manages to help the team and its captain (Roberts) ratchet up its competitive spirit, while the girls offer Bill a renewed life focus. “The Winning Season” also stars Shareeka Epps, Emily Rios and Margo Martindale. I’m Joslyn Davis with news that yes, it’s that time of year again! Radio Disney’s NBT contest will make it’s debut starting on September 15th! The top five contestants have already been chosen, but we before we tell you who they are, let me tell you what they’re competing for. The NBT winner will not only have a single released by Disney Music Group, he or she will also have the opportunity to open for Allstar Weekend! This is great, especially since all of the competing artists are unsigned. Plus its fun for you guys, the listeners, because you get to vote for who you think should win. We’ll have all of links to official NBT contest site in our story details. So here’s who’s in the running for Radio Disney’s NBT. First up is Amber Lilly, a 13 year old pop/R&B singer from San Francisco. Then there’s Sacha Edwards from LA, who is a 14 year old pop/rock singer-songwriter. Next up is Matthew Johnson, who is a 13 year old pop singer from Dallas, Texas. Also competing is Coco Jones, who is a 12 year old pop singer and rapper from Columbia, South Carolina. Hey guys, I’m Joslyn Davis – welcome back to the show. So TV Premiere week is in full-swing and the highly anticipated return on Glee didn’t disappoint. Aside from the usual characters on the show that we already know and love, fans are absolutely raving about Charice addition to the line-up. Her Telephone duet with Lea Michele, aka Rachel Berry, was enough to push us over the top, and now we’re finally getting word on how exactly Charice landed the coveted role. According to MTV, Charice said that she’d spoken with her mom and her manager about Glee and how much she loved the show and wanted to be on it. So, she went in and sang for Ryan Murphy, but she really didn’t think anything would come of it. Next thing she knew, a bunch of people on twitter were congratulating her. It’s seems as though she was last person to find out she’d landed the gig, and about 30 minutes later she got an email from the Glee team saying congratulations. And that’s how it was done. Flash-Forward a few months and we see Charice on screen with New Directions. I’m excited to be chatting about a brand new promo for the new season of Glee… and quite appropriately, it’s a new school year and a new direction for the singing performers. We get a peek at the new foreign exchange student character Sunshine, played by Charice, as she seemingly sings head-to-head with Rachel – did we just hear some Telephone from Lady Gaga and Beyonce?! Sweet. While there may be some new competition within the Glee club, the new promo also shows some friendly action between Mr. Schue and Sue Sylvester – thanks to a new powerhouse, a beastly football coach. Yeah, nobody saw that one coming. Glee tells us that we’re gonna see a bunch of cool guest stars – well, of course – but the vid only lists one: John Stamos. There’s the whole Cheerios dynamic this season, and the nationals are gonna be in New York. Thankfully, we do get to see the teens sing it out a bit with full-on NYC graphic tees… The new Glee promo really packs the punch and it definitely made me more excited than ever to tune into the season premiere. Straight from our Beverly Hills studio, I’m Dana Ward with the Vampire Diaries update. The second season is apparently bringing us some fresh blood… in the form of a new Lockwood family member. Mason is described as Tyler’s cool, sexy, athletic uncle. If you’re dying to know WHO will be taking on this new character, there’s no word yet. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but let’s brainstorm together. What Hollywood hottie would rock this cool role? Hello ClevverTV watchers – I’m your host Joslyn Davis with a complete recap on the TV return of The Vampire Diaries. So did the show live up to all the hype with it’s season two debut? I think the collective answer is a very enthusiastic yes. And if you ask me, a lot of the episode could be summed up in two little sentences. First up – Katherine is quite possibly the most evil thing to hit the CW network. And second – and something I thought I’d never say – Poor, poor Damon…well, sort of. So let’s talk about what went down on the season premier. It picked up right where we left off in the finale of season 1. Katherine is back with an obvious vengeance, but what does she want? Well, judging from what we just saw, you can never be quite sure, although she seems to be saying that it’s not what, but who she wants – and that’s Stephan. Of course, he’s not having any of it. But poor Damon, I think we saw the vulnerable side of him for the very first time when he begged her just tell him the truth. Katherine told Damon that she’d never loved him. It had always been Stephan. Of course in the same episode, K’s doppelganger, Elena, also told Damon she’d never kiss him back, which propelled him to try to kill her brother Jeremy. Thankfully he was wearing the ring, but if he hadn’t been, he would have for sure become a …
