Monters vs. Aliens HQ Trailer opens March 2009

Sunday, August 22nd, 2010

When California girl Susan Murphy is unwittingly clobbered by a meteor full of outer space gunk on her wedding day, she mysteriously grows to 49-feet-11-inches tall. Alerted to the threat of this new monster, the military jumps into action and Susan is captured and secreted away to a covert government compound. There, she is renamed Ginormica and placed in confinement with a ragtag group of other monsters: the brilliant but insect-headed Dr. Cockroach, Ph.D.; the macho half-ape, half-fish The Missing Link; the gelatinous and indestructible BOB; and the 350-foot grub called Insectosaurus. Their confinement is cut short, however, when a mysterious alien robot lands on Earth and begins storming the country. In a moment of desperation, The President is persuaded by General WR Monger to enlist the motley crew of Monsters to combat the Alien Robot and save the world from imminent destruction. Taylor Swift AP 2009 Entertainer Of The Year!

Sunday, August 22nd, 2010

Twitter.com – Follow Us! Taylor Swift nabs yet another award for 2009. It’s a biggie so keep watching for the info! Hi everyone. I’m Dana Ward and you’re watching Clevver TV. So yes, Taylor Swift won another major award. She got named the Entertainer of the Year by The Associated Press. Just incase you guys aren’t familiar with the AP, newspaper editors and broadcast producers nationally voted for the award and obviously, Swift took it home. When asked about the victory, Taylor said that she is so honored, excited and grateful, adding that it was so unexpected. Keep in mind that Taylor had just lost out to Lady Gaga as the Woman of the Year, as decided MTV News. But bringing it back to this latest Associated Press Award, Swift didn’t just win as Entertainer of the Year because of her hit singles, Fearless album sales and award show domination, she also received the award that Tina Fey won in 2008 because of an unforgettable event. According to the AP, she and her Kanye West VMA mishap “set off a media storm that perhaps said as much about Swift’s popularity – because fans and musicians came through on her behalf – as it did about West’s.” Do you agree with the AP’s decision to name Taylor Swift as the Entertainer of 2009? Tweet us directly on Twitter @clevvertv and be sure to follow us. I’m Dana Ward, thanks for watching!

Miley Cyrus Named Worst Celebrity Influence of 2009

Sunday, August 22nd, 2010

Twitter.com – FOLLOW US! If you’re a Miley fan, you better listen up! Cyrus needs your support. Get the details right now! Poor Miley. In a recent poll, the Disney superstar got named something pretty darn bad and we’re looking for people to defend her. Hey guys, I’m Dana Ward at the Clevver TV headquarters and we just received word that Miley got voted as – take a deep breath – 2009′s worst celeb influence. That’s right, it’s probably not a win that the singing-actress is proud to earn – nor is it anything like her impressive number-1 song downloads, sold-out concerts and crazy-popular Hannah Montana merchandising. But the AOL poll asked readers ages 9 to 15 years old and they chose Miley as the worst Hollywood influence. So it wasn’t even adults or parents who picked! We’re wondering WHY there are so many haters out there… not just the obvious grouping of the media, but what about fellow kids and teens? I mean, Miley is actually setting records with all of her careers accomplishments, and hey, she’s a teenager and bound to make a mistake or two, so why is everyone hating? Do you guys think that maybe some people are “closet fans” who actually like MC but choose to hate simply because they’re too cool for school? So the main happenings with Cyrus that were likely the reason she received so many votes for worst influence of 2009 are likely her suggestive Vanity Fair covershoot, the “stripper pole” performance for the Teen Choice Awards and her “slanty eyes” photos with

2009 Grammy Awards Recap: Top performances, winners Another year, another awards season. We’ve got the recap to the biggest night for the music industry: the 2009 Grammy Awards! Hey everyone! I’m Dana Ward coming to you from the Clevver TV headquarters… and this show is all about the Grammys. It’s the show that’s dedicated to music and its makers. While the Recording Academy of America honors 110 categories for the Grammys, only 10-matchups are included in the 3 and a half hour televised ceremony. Most of the night is for the audience to enjoy live performances by legends and newbies alike… One crowd favorite: Al Green and Justin Timberlake’s performance of ‘Let’s Stay Together’. Another set that people are still talking about is the performance with John Mayer, Keith Urban, BB King and Buddy Guy. These guitarist and blues legends performed in honor of the late Bo Diddley. An even more surprising collaboration was between Stevie Wonder and the Jonas Brothers for the classic, ‘Superstition’ and ‘Burnin’ Up’. Some other Grammy performances to note include Jennifer Hudson’s belted out ‘You Pulled Me Through’, Sugarland’s Jennifer Nettles singing ‘Stay’, as well as Dave Grohl and Paul McCartney bringing down the house together. Plus, in honor of the Motown group called The 4 Tops, Jamie Foxx, Smokey Robinson and Ne-Yo gave it their all alongside the sole surviving member, Duke Fakir. Some other name performances include Carrie Underwood, Kid Rock, MIA, Jay-Z, TI and Lil
