We’re breaking down all the 411 on werewolves from the Twilight Saga. They suddenly change at any time from human to wolf and back-and-forth, a process described as mentally – not physically – painful. When in human-form, their skin is burning hot, and injuries heal extremely quickly. As a werewolf, each one varies slightly in size and color, ranging from deep gray to rusty brown to black, but most are monstrous in size. We do know that an individual’s wolf form is slightly related to the human form, because in Ecilpse, Jacob says he is furrier than the other wolves because his hair is longer as a person. When a child begins to change into animal form, he or she accelerates growth to an adult-size and most of them look exactly the same at that point right before transformation- down to their expressions and looks. Also, as long as they keep going into their wolf form, they will not age. One of the main abilities of the wolves in the Twilight series is their speed.
