Eclipse Breaks Box Office Records! Find Out Which Ones

So let’s break it down – Eclipse has already broken three major movie release records including widest domestic release of all time, the greatest EVER midnight opening, and the biggest Wednesday debut of all time. Even so, Eclipse didn’t beat the records of Twilight or New Moon for opening day numbers, but the 30 million bucks the film earned at a midnight showing is covering for all of that. Some are speculating that if the film would’ve been released on a Friday, all records across the board would’ve been broken. Either way though, tons of you guys were likely able to hit up the late night showings since school is out. And let’s not forget that a bunch of theaters added 3am showings to fulfill the huge desire for tickets to the opening night show.
