ArtsEmerson Fraulein Maria Flash Mob to Gwen Stefani’s Wind it Up
Flash mob dance kicks-off ArtsEmerson opening events From: EmersonCollege | September 10, 2010 Sixty Emerson College students bring music and dance to Boston—to help launch opening events for the inaugural season of ArtsEmerson:The World On Stage. Emerson College Performing Arts students surprise visitors at Boston’s Transportation Building with a flash mob dance to Gwen Stefani‘s Wind it Up. The four-minute performance was choreographed by Doug Elkins, the choreographer of the first production of the season Fraulein Maria, which opens September 23 in the 590-seat Paramount Mainstage. Additional theatre spaces programmed by ArtsEmerson include the Cutler Majestic Theatre, the Paramount Black Box, and Bright Family Screening room. Established by Emerson College, ArtsEmerson brings professional performing arts experiences to Boston, making them available to the public and enabling the College’s students and faculty to work side-by-side with distinguished artists from around the world.
