2010 Teen Choice Awards Nominations Recap

Once again, it’s that time for the TCAs and the 2010 host is officially Katy Perry. This year there are some obvious front-runners in the nominations pack who are just destined to take home a surf board trophy. Iron Man 2 and Gossip Girl received 6 nods while fan favorites Glee and New Moon got 5 nominations each. Right now, there are a TON of categories, broken down into choice movie, actor and actress with each of those having 5 picks. Plus, there’s the same thing for various television show designations AND THEN there’s another dozen or so music nods as well as a choice action athlete and comedian. Getting a bit into the nitty-gritty, Justin Bieber is gonna go head-to-head with his mentor, Usher AND Miley Cyrus’ 3 nominations have her up against Ke$ha, Taylor Swift, Shakira and Lady Gaga. Plus, you can’t forget about Robert Pattinson, Taylor Lautner and Kristen Stewart all getting nods, and we’ve got the Twilight Saga sequel versus Harry Potter, Alice in Wonderland, Prince of Persia and Clash of the Titans. The cool thing about the Teen Choice Awards is that teens actually get to vote for the winners – duh!
